Oh good lord, where has the time gone? Actually I know where it has gone. It involves marking 42 pieces of homework every week because as I thought the International Management crew crashed and burned too. And reading draft assignments until my eyes are bleeding. Now I have the first batch in to mark and the next lot come in next Saturday. Then I have had the killer cold twice and can't completely get rid of the damn thing. But despite that I headed out of town on a research trip over Easter. Had a damn good though not as riotous as it could be time! On the CTT front, just before Easter I got up the nerve to call him and see if he wanted to go running over the break. That didn't work but we ran during the week. Which rocked, except... Well the man is gorgeous but kinda prissy and too perfect to be exactly sexy. His mind, yeah, his conversation, yep, the way he makes me stop and think, now that works. So 40 minute running a couple of compliments from him which I didn't manage to return and some absolutely brilliant conversation. We're saying goodbye and there is a sheen of sweat along his jaw and suddenly OMG this man is sexy!. So I hug him, get no reaction and just slide away in case he gets mad. But at the same time, it felt so damn perfect, like I belonged right there! Two weeks and I can't get hold of him but when term starts he comes in for coffee on a 10 minute break in his class. I apologise and he says it's ok, he just was surprised. Mentions something about it being funny if the boss had seen us. I say I know the boss doesn't go home that way (actually the boss would roll his eyes and probably say something cynical, his wife on the other hand would be delighted!). Then last week, CTT needs feedback on a document he is working on and I basically rip it to shreds and deliver the message with extreme sarcasm. He texts me the next day, could I call to talk about it. Then drops in to the office to get me to help edit as it will be faster. Again, damn do we work well together! And as we finish up he turns to me and says "See, I needed you" in his really soft voice, the shy voice that I have heard him use with no one but me! So, yes the man is doing my head in! The PhD between the being sick and the reading/marking for my students has ground to a stand still but I sort of know where I am going. Three of the next 6 weeks I will spend marking but hopefully the other 3 I can get some serious work done! I'd say it'll be sooner that I next update but given that schedule probably it won't be!
