Today was one of those annoying day involving leaky milk that sprays all over my cclothes, customers complaining and people going home sick.

Though I'm with the customer on this one - what moron decided that vanilla slice is a 2 day product?? Honestly it is pastry layered with custard what we don't sell the day we get it from the bakery should go in the bin! It goes all nasty and crusty overnight. Actually it goes nasty and crusty in the chilled display case over 18 hours in store never mind anyhting else. Not to mention that it is crap quality from the bakery to start with. Half the time the pieces aren't cut all the way through or there are big hunks of custard missing.

Oh and I had a customer return a sandwich because it smelt funny. I just gave her a fresh one!

But I got told that I will be getting a 60 cent an hour pay rise effective immediately!

Doesn't make up for the extra hour and a half in the store today and the fact I am rostered an extra day again next week. I know I'm not actually writing at the moment but it is the princple of the thing. I'm supposed to get 3 days off a week, 1 to spend with the spouse and 2 to write!

And my hands are cracking up again, the combination of trips through the chlorine sanitiser and being washed probably 20 times an hour dries your skin out. Though after cleaning the bathrooms even with gloves on the first thing I WANT to do is shiove my hands into the sanitiser!
