Did I mention that it appears that we are now going to have quarterly flat inspections?

That this implies the house will have to be white glove spotless four time a year?

This would be the only reason that I was to be found today cleaning the oven. As far as I am concerned oven cleaning is one of those jobs fopr which there are people. You know *other* people who have to do this horrendous task. Unfortunately with only a week's warning over the holiday break they could not be whistled up in time.

My oven is now as spotless as a 40 year old oven can be, especially one that has been in a rental property most of its existance. Ovens do not wear as well as people - I scrub up much better with much less effort!

And after all this I would just like to say - Fumeless oven cleaning my arse! I was still choking and gagging just less than normal.

Also I tried to wash the paintwork. The dirt came off - so did the paint. I gave it up as a bad job and did another search of the properties to rent listing. I get the feeling the landlord is running this place down in the hopes all 3 units will get bought out by a developer. The only worry is that we are not sure that all of it was flaking paint some of it look suspiciously like the nasty toxic fungus that grows in damp houses.

I got a call back to say I am through to the second stage of the hiring process for the job I applied for. I am now having doubts about whether I want a 24/7 rolling roster position. Oh well go in and pitch and see what happens I guess. Probablity is that as I do not have travel/airline experience I won't get beyond this stage (there is a panel interview and reference check after the assessment centre I am into.)
