This purely for my own records and probably will bore the pants off everyone else. Just called ACC. They didn't recive the request for funding until 8th of January (the surgoen's office did advise it can take up to a week for them to get the claim ready and with Christmas in the middle that sounds about right.) On the 12th of January the notes from the surgeon were received but ACC are still waiting on notes from the A&E clinic that saw me the day after the accident. This was followed up again on the 20th but the notes still haven't arrived. Once the notes *are* received the request for funnding will go through to the medical assessors at ACC for a decision. That could take up to 3 weeks so it will be mid February before I hear anything assuming the A&E clinic pulls finger and gets the notes in pronto. Which also means the earliest I will be in for surgery will be end of March. Frantically crossing fingers that the notes will arrive in a hurry and that the request will be approved. I am sick of having my life on hold, although I now have some sort of time frame to give potential employers. Please cross fingers/pray/intercede in the manner of your chosing the approval comes through and quickly! Thanks Bels
