A temporary reprieve. S92A - the piece of the new Copyright Act that is causing all the stress - has been delayed by a month. This will allow for a better consultation and hopefully a repeal and new section that better balances the needs of artists to protect their rights against the right of people to privacy and the presumption of innocence. There was also the unedifying sight of a member of the now Opposition berating the Government for an Act her party had drawn up and passed. This kind of bad behaviour is why I have so much trouble trying to keep up with politics and get blind-sided by this type of thing. In other news I didn't get the job I interviewed for on Monday. I am panicking. I have enough money to pay this month's bills and that is it. I have fired out another 4 applications and am even considering applying for a contract help desk job. I will go up and see if the baby store up the road is still hiring first but if they aren't I will send in an application. It is just a 6 month contract with no possibility of going permanent. But I still really do not want to go back on a help desk. Bels
