Got an email confirming I didn't get the temp job.

What the hell am I doing wrong? I go in tidily dressed, enthusiastic about the job and willing to work hard with a proven record of customer service. I guess I should just start lying and saying "yes X is my dream and what I will doing in 5 years."

The truth is until my knee is fixed and I know how well it has healed I can't make plans. And right now I'm not really sure of where I will decide to go once that question is resolved.

Not to mention that I am willing to commit to at least a year of what ever crap job I do take. We are talking retail/call centre here - there are very few people who are going to stay much longer regardless of what their plans were when they signed up.

And the muppet from the agency still hasn't called me back. That man is just getting annoying.

Meh, I know I should create and put up a public CV and send in yet more applications but tonight I just can't muster the fibbing!

The spouse had a check up with his weight loss doc who decided the bug he has had for the last week is the rather nasty virus that is doing the rounds and put him off work for all of this week too.

So long as he keeps the damn bug to himself!
