So after days of waiting I finally hear back from the guy at the agency. The client is worried I won't find the job "challenging enough" and that I'll "get bored". For fucks sake, if I want to be entertained I'll go to the cinema if I need challenge I'll hit the gym, all I require from a job is that it pays the damn bills. Not to mention it is a call centre if they think there is anyone in that room who isn't bored they are deluded! Not to mention that my years of experience give a real edge on doing happy corporate coffee monkey. I can have my brain oozing down my neck while I poke my eyes out and the customer will never guess I have anything on my mind beyond meeting their every wish! However they have obviously decided I am a "flight risk" and do not wish to go any further with my application Oh and to the agency (a different one) who replied that "your background is not a match for the employer's expectations" - bite me! I'm not sure whether they were being pompous or failing to look for transferable skills. Either way they got straight up my nose. I do have another interview tomorrow. A barista job, not great for the knee but then the knee bitches if I sit at a desk for too long so... 90 degrees loads up your knee cap a lot and when there is no cartlidge being loaded is not comfortable. They have been advertising for a month so I am guessing either the pays stinks or the hours are lousy probably both but I figure it is worth my while to go down and make kissy face to find out. Besides which this is non-corporate coffee and the cafe is pretty funky so it would be fun and I do miss making coffee! Crossing my fingers again Bels
