I like phone calls from my sister - they seem to be all good news at the moment. She and her other half have gotten over their not getting married thing. So on Saturday they went to Vegas and got married - without telling a soul beforehand :)

I believe my mother is a little miffed! I however am delighted for them and admore the moxie!

Partly it is purely practical, health insurance etc when they move to Dubai will be easier if they are married. (The Dubai move is looking near certain.) But still it is very cool and funky.

The only cool thing in the rest of today was the little girl who looked like she walked straight out of an anime. I didn't think anyone dressed like that in real life!

Yep I am running exams and marking the buggers. The post-grad assignments I thought I had lined up the lecturer has decided to mark themselves. But Dr J my thesis supervisor may have some research/admin tasks coming up that I can do. Which would rock.

Discovered today that the head of school knows of my existence or at least my name which is embarassing because I don't think I've ever formally met the woman.

Other than that it is not so much Groundhog Day as Groundhog Year round here!
