Guess where I was this afternoon, here's a clue:

Oh ooops you guys aren't Aucklanders! This is the Civic one of the old school picture palaces. Built in 1929 and restored to as new condition in 2000.

We got to see a lot of how it is run as an event venue but didn't get back stage. However we did get to go on stage :) For afternoon tea :)

This is a picture of the front of stage lighting rig hidden away so they can do the starry night on the ceiling as people come in and settle before a permformance (I really really need a tripod for a shot this slow but it still looks kind of cool so I'll share)

Met some fabulous people and got to spent quality time in an amazing building. For 80 years people have been coming to dream their dreams and there are angels in the architecture!
